• Benchmarking vs. Global Standards: We compared the formula to products successfully compliant with EU REACH and Ecolabel standards, pinpointing safer yet functionally equivalent solvents for substitution.

• Substitution & Stabilization: We removed all non-compliant solvents and reformulated with green, EU-approved options. Using rheology modifiers, we retained the product’s essential viscosity and workability.

• Performance Testing & Adjustment: Peel strength, set time, and open time were adjusted through iterative lab trials to maintain—and exceed—customer satisfaction metrics.

Outcome: Compliance and Revenue Restored

Within five weeks, the optimised glue formula passed VOC emissions testing and was re-certified for EU export. The client successfully avoided contract termination and resumed shipments, retaining key European customers and saving over $1,600,000 per year in potential lost revenue.
